SIR JOHN STANDING, PIZZA ON THE PARK, LONDON

I went for a wonderful evening of Noel Coward Songs sung by John Standing. It took me back to my Drama School days, where I had an incredible singing coach from The Central School of Speech and Drama, called George Hall. There is probably nobody on the planet who knows more about Music Hall and cabaret. I was lucky enough to have lessons with George for 5 years or so.

John dusted down Noel Cowards fabulous lyrics and brought them bang up to date, with humour and a merry lightness, his diction was superb. It was incredible as they could have been written yesterday. Pizza on the Park was the perfect place to listen to him.
