NIGEL DEMPSTER AND THE DEATH OF DISCRETION

Tim Willis, my faithful editor, has written a book on Nigel Dempster, the roguish, philandering gossip columnist who worked for The Daily Mail from 1971-2002.  It now in being serialised in the paper.  It took him precisely one year and apparently it tells the honest to goodness truth about the tittle tattle of England's society.  Nigel Dempster's page and now Richard Kay's is the first page I am ashamed to admit I read in the morning.  I like everyone else hates to be in it, but am naturally curious to check what people are up to.  If you think about it gossip used to fill one page and now it is the whole paper.
Well my friend "good luck".
