THE BYRON CONSORT, HARROW SCHOOLS ELITE SINGING TEAM, ADVENTURE IN STOCKHOLM

The complex beauty of Stockholm was enhanced by The Byron Consort singing in various churches and cathedrals. I was seriously impressed by the harmonious talent that ensued. Some pieces are hardly ever heard and so it was with true delight that we the audience were able to hear these rarely sung works. Under the brave and watchful eye of Dr Evans this singing troupe has become a force to be reckoned with.
They stayed in a delightful hotel called The Columbus which was once a police station - when it was known as the Sausage Pot - infinitely preferable to my hotel, called the Berns. The Berns has one huge problem; there is a very loud nightclub in the basement that finishes at about 2am. However, it makes it up for that by having the most delicious food - especially on Sundays, when they offer the guests anything under the sun. I have left Stockholm needing to diet again. But luckily green is on the menu this week...
