Oriel Harwood loves dark black opulence, her furniture the furniture for Alice Wonderland and Hansel and Gretel. A modern take of King Arthurs Court. Chandeliers and enormous outsized candlesticks. Last night her exhibition landed me in a theatre of delights. I love her work. I want her to turn my house into fairy tales, a house of dreams. Her work is exhibited in David Gills Gallery in Loughborough Street, the sort of place I want to live in. A huge white kooky space where he shows furniture and one off pieces. He is a man of style.
